FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT SERIES


    The Family Entertainment Series offers a variety of different style shows to satisfy everyone. Classics, jazz, drama, and contemporary music are available for your entertainment.  Sponsors for the series are:  Lakeway Publishers, Inc., Sverdrup Technology, Mike Thompson Ford-Mercury, and Jameson Inn.

    Season tickets for the Series can be purchased for $65 or tickets for individual shows may be purchased.  For more information, call 455-5321 or email sjcc@southjackson.org.

Charmaine Neville

As the daughter of one of the highly acclaimed Neville Brothers, Charmaine Neville is heir to a rich New Orleans musical legacy, but is busy putting her own stamp on this musical heritage. She and her band dish out a spicy mix of the best of New Orleans music, from the nastiest of blues to some V-8 driven R&B.

Mark Twain

Join actor Ron Jewell  as he transports you to a rainy evening fireside in Mark Twain's last home in Stormfield, Connecticut where you will hear tales from the extraordinary life he has led. Learn  of the boy Samuel L. Clemens born in Hannibal, Missouri, his life as river boat worker (where he adopted the moniker, "Mark Twain"), and finally his varied careers as newspaperman, printer, and author.

Audiences of all ages will be taken back to the golden age of the crooner - a time beautifully recreated by some of the best loved songs of all time. This musical tribute is a must see for the "hopeless romantic" in all of us!
