Pre-Audition Workshop
for

SMILE


Pre-audition workshops for the play Smile are designed to prepare upcoming actresses for their auditions. Basic acting skills, singing, and dancing skills will be developed. This workshop is not a pre-requisite for the auditions. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and shoes that are suitable for dancing. Please bring a wallet size snapshot. Space is limited to 25 participants per workshop.

SMILE


The story of Smile takes place during the “Young American Miss” state pageant in Santa Rosa California and focuses on the lives of the 16 contestants, the pageant staff, and their families as they participate in the pageant. The show is filled with singing and dancing with lots of comedy and drama taking place both on and off the pageant stage. Challenging roles are available for teenage girls/young women, men and women age 30 and up, teenage boys/young men, and two young boys ages 10 – 12. Production dates are July 16, 17, 18, 23, and 24.

Stuart Little

    When Mr. and Mrs. Little found out they were going to have another son, they had no idea he would be a mouse. An adventurous tale of bravery, humor and true friendship, the story shows the power of teamwork. Stuart brings a handful of fun to the Little family and causes everyone he meets to look twice. Not only because he's a small mouse, but because his zealous personality is larger than life.

The Nutcracker

This is the story of a young girl named Clara who receives the gift of a nutcracker from her Godfather Drosselmeirer and with a bit of magic, dreams of magical places filled with princes and fairies. Set to the music of the Russian composer Tchaikovsky, local and regional dancers will perform highlights from this ballet. Choreography is being done by Beverly Long, Stefanie Petrolia, and Jean Marie Ford. Dancing parts needed for both male and female in all age groups – Grades K – 5, grades 6 – 12, young adult, adult.
Production dates are December 3(daytime performances), December 4 and 5 (evening performances).
